Diane has been a free lance player in the Bay Area for many years. She is a native Californian and a graduate of San Francisco State University. Her horn teachers included Earl Saxton, San Francisco Symphony, and David Sprung, 1st horn with San Francisco Opera. She plays regularly with TheatreWorks, West Bay Opera, Lyric Opera, Foothill Musical Theatre, and Brass Act Quintet. Diane recently played for Woodminster Musical Theatre and Johnny Mathis. She is also a music contractor and hires musicians for such groups as TheatreWorks, Schola Cantorum, and the Oratorio Society. All members of her family are involved with music. Her husband is a clarinetist. Two sons live on the East Coast where one is a jazz trumpet player and the other owns a recording studio.
