    Guy Clark - Trumpet
 
 

Guy grew up in Northbrook, Illinois and began playing trumpet at the age of nine and has studied with Yvonne Harmon, Charlie Geyer and Bud Herseth.

While living in Illinois, Guy held principal trumpet positions with Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, West Suburban Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, Salt Creek Sinfonietta, Lake Forest Symphony, Westminster Chamber Orchestra, Winnetka Chamber Orchestra, Wilmette Starlight Theatre, Highland Park Apple Tree Theatre, the Northbrook Brass Quintet, and various other groups. He played more than ten years with the six-time National Champion Illinois Brass Band, serving as principal much of the time. He also played principal and e-flat soprano cornet with the 2004 National Champion Chicago Brass Band and performed with the CBB Players, the brass band’s award-winning 10-piece brass ensemble.

Guy lived in Santa Cruz briefly several years ago and played with Gabrielli Brass, the San Jose Wind Symphony, Redwood Symphony Orchestra, and the Master Symphonia and Mission Chamber Orchestras. Since moving to the Bay Area, Guy has been freelancing and plays with the Santa Cruz Ballet Orchestra, the Silicon Valley Brass Band, Saratoga Symphony, and the Ohlone Wind Orchestra and Community Band.

Guy holds Bachelors of Science degrees in Bio-Engineering and Biology and is currently doing contract work. He is married to fellow SBB trumpeter, Laura Shea-Clark. They reside in Los Gatos with their cats, Max, Ramey, Gracie, Webster, and Waldo.
